| 2.) Bidding On an Auction |
| |
You may
bid anywhere from one cent up to the "bid 4"
price.
The bid 4 price is the highest amount you can place a bid for on an
item.
Q. Why doesn't everyone just bid the highest amount?
A. The point is to Outbid 4 Less. In order to win an item a user's bid
amount must be the highest unique amount bid on the specific item.
"Highest Unique"
To have a unique bid amount means that the amount you place a bid for:
- Hasn't been
placed by any other bidders on your specific item
- You are betting no one else will place a bid for this amount before
the auction closes. If
your "unique" bid amount is greater (higher) than all the other unique
bids on the item, you have the "highest unique" bid. Therfore if no
one else places a bid for your chosen amount before the auction closes,
you win!
